Haisten Addison Sellers, age 80, a life-long resident of Cottonwood, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until 2:00 pm prior to services. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing.

Addison was born July 22, 1942, in Houston County to the late Haisten Linden Sellers and Mary Mozelle Tindell Sellers. He was a graduate of Cottonwood High School and spent his life raising his family and farming. Addison was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Mildred Sellers, and Mayme Carolyn Sellers; one brother, Clarence Crafton Sellers; and the beloved mother of his children, Carolyn Ann Stewart McKenzie.

Survivors include his wife, Nora LaVerne Sellers; his children, Rita Michelle Smith (Jim), David Addison Sellers (Denise), Debby Carolyn Long (Scott), Duane Otis Sellers (Grace), Deborah Fortune (Ed), Kenneth Friedrich, Michael Friedrich, and Joel Friedrich; his grandchildren, Candice White (David), JP Sides, Kristen Sides, Daphney Jones (Britton), Michelle Hutton (Taylor), Elizabeth Carolyn McCardle (Austin), and Parker Addison Sellers; two sisters, Helen Elizabeth Sellers, and Virginia Culverhouse; and numerous great-grandchildren with another on the way.
