Hazel Jeanette Tidwell of Midland City passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014.  She was 84.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Rev. Jimmy Eddins officiating.  Burial will follow in Reese Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  The family will receive friends prior to the service Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. 

Mrs. Tidwell was born in Holmes Co., Fla. on December 30, 1929 to the late Carlie and Maude Crumpler Sawyer.  She was the youngest of six children.  All of her siblings preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith Dianne Weeks (Farren) of the Hacoda Community, and Cathy Early of Dothan; son, Marty Dale Weeks, Sr. of Midland City; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
