HEADLAND. . .Heath McDonald Phillips, a resident of Headland, died unexpectedly Wednesday night, July 19, 2023, in a Dothan hospital. He was 37.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 22, 2023, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Robert Pilgrim officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Heath Phillips was born in Winter Haven, Florida and was raised in Haines City, Florida. He was a graduate of Haines City High School. Heath was employed by J.B. Hunt as a truck driver. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

            Surviving relatives include his fiance’, Erica Goodson, a daughter, Brynleigh Layne Phillips, and his parents, James and Lisa Phillips, Headland; a sister, Holly Phillips, Headland; a niece, Peyzlie Constable.
