It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of beloved wife, mother & sister, Heidi M. Stepp of Enterprise, AL on November 18th, 2023.  She was 74.

Mrs. Stepp was born to Erwin & Giesela Ihlenfeldt on November 5th 1949 in Ludwigshafen Germany. At the age of 16, she married Roger Kenneth Stepp of St. Louis Missouri who was serving in the U.S. Army in Germany at that time. They had 5 children together and were married for 57 years.

Heidi served the U.S. government as a German translator for several years before focusing on raising her 5 children. During that time, she became an avid knitter and created incredible works that drew national attention, some which were featured in commercials and fashion shows, though she was never one to boast about her talents. She also enjoyed computers and learning Japanese.

People who knew her will remember her most for her kindness, compassion, her ability to accept and support others, her joyful laugh and sense of humor, and her fierce devotion to her family.

She is preceded in death by her oldest son, Ronald D. Stepp, Daleville, AL, and survived by her husband, Roger Stepp, Enterprise, two sons Terry Stepp, Northport, AL, Sean Stepp, Enterprise, AL, two daughters, Christina Stepp, Enterprise, AL, Angelique Love (Cody), Tuscaloosa, AL; a sister Uschi Bingemann (Klaus) Maxdorf, Germany.

You may sign the register book or send condolences to the family at our website: www.searcyfuneralhome.com.
