ABBEVILLE…Helen Connell Cutchens, 92, of Abbeville, AL died Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at her residence.


     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. (EDT) Saturday, April 23, 2022, in the Sale City Baptist Church with Reverend Tim Bozeman officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sale City Cemetery.  Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home, Camilla, GA, is in charge of funeral arrangements.  Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of local arrangements.


     Born January 23, 1930, in Colquitt County, GA, Mrs. Cutchens was the daughter of the late Carl Connell and Eula Mae Brown Connell.  She was married to the late Charles Cutchens and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Harrell and siblings, Earl Connell, Gene Connell, Alma Mims, and Barbara Sims.  Mrs. Cutchens was a florist and a member of  First Baptist Church of Abbeville, AL.


     Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Jones (Ester) of Camilla, Robert Jones (Myra) of Ormond Beach, FL, and William Jones of Tampa, FL; one brother, Bill Connell; five sisters, Dot Tomberlin, Vera Johnston, Laverne Pope, Mary Alice King, and Judy Pless; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.


     Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. Saturday, before services, at the Sale City Baptist Church.


     Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Abbeville, 100 Columbia Rd., Abbeville, AL, or Sale City Baptist Church, P.O. Box 47, Sale City, GA 31784.
