HENRY NELL ROBERTS

DOTHAN, AL… Henry Nell Roberts, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, formerly of Headland, Alabama, passed away early Thursday morning, February 17, 2022, at a Dothan hospital. She was 67.

            Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Eddie Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Newville, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening, February 22, 2022, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory.

            Ms. Roberts was born in Henry County, Alabama to the late Willie C. Carter and Catherine Roberts Carter. She lived most of her life in Headland, Alabama before moving to Dothan, Alabama twenty-five years ago. She was a cosmetologist and a florist. She could do just about anything she set her mind to do. Ms. Henry Nell was a member of the Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Newville, Alabama. She was a very proud mother and loved her sons. Henry Nell was beloved by all who met her and will be remembered most by friends and family for her passion and love for cooking, and her “open door” policy to sit at her table and dine.

            Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her sister, Wylette Carter and her brother, Harold Carter.

            Leaving to cherish her memories are her sons, Davie Roberts, Laroderick Roberts, and Marenzo Roberts; her adopted children, Marenzo Hall and Laquanda Carter; her sisters, Michelle Walker and LaShanda Carter; her brother, Will Carter, Jr.; her grandchildren, Juwan Roberts, Keldon Roberts, Jamir Roberts, Jasmine Reynolds, and Kiara Reynolds; her uncles, Milton Fryer and Ray Fryer; and a host of nieces and nephews.
