Houston Glen McCollough of Samson, AL passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 83 years old.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

Mr. McCollough was born in Taylor, AL on October 1, 1937 to the late C.E. and Ora Hudson McCollough. Glen was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching Alabama Football. He served as a volunteer with Samson Rescue for many years.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Leitha Fowler.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of wife of 63 years, Louise McCollough of Samson, AL; three daughters, Phyllis Zorn (David), Janet Howell (Keith), and Cindy Branch (Jeff); grandchildren, Paige Fountain, Kayla Free, Hayley Miller, Cassidy Anthony, and Jacob Branch; great-grandchildren, Griffin and Allie Kate Fountain, Finn Free, and Grayson Miller; one sister, Sue Perry; one brother, Irby McCollough; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Encompass Hospice for all you did for our husband, daddy, and granddaddy the last few weeks.
