Howard Eugene Brookshire, Jr., 50, of Daleville passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 at Butner Federal Medical Center in Butner, NC.

The family will be receiving friends from 10-12 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Mr. Brookshire was born December 5, 1961 in Knoxville, TN and lived the early part of his life in Daleville, AL. He graduated from Daleville High School in 1980 and was employed as a long haul driver with Wiley Sanders Trucking. He was a volunteer with the Daleville Fire and Rescue and was a member of the Truck Drivers Association.

Survivors include his son Timothy (Dorothy) Brookshire of Newton; a brother Bryan (Robbie) Brookshire of Newton; a sister Terina Brookshire of Dothan; uncles, Marshall Brookshire of Maryville, TN, and Robert Gibson of Seymour, TN; several cousins also survive.
