H. R. Harrison of Sweet Gum Head, FL passed away at his home on Monday, December 7, 2020. He was 75 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Billy Locke, Rev. Terry Smith, and Reverend Dr. Kenneth Harrison officiating. Mr. Harrison will be laid to rest in his family cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

H.R. was born in Walton County, FL on November 5, 1945 to the late Archie and Faustine Aplin Harrison. H.R. was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman. He had a genuine love of people and loved a good conversation. Some would say he was a true teller of “tall tales” and a great memorabilia collector.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Hagan Robert McDuffie.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 ½ years, Joyce Harrison of Sweet Gum Head, FL; one daughter, Terry Petty (Larry)of Sweet Gum Head, FL; one son, Walker McDuffie of Sweet Gum Head, FL; four grandchildren, Keith Petty (Amie), Katie Petty, Brooke McDuffie, and Daisey McDuffie; five great-grandchildren, Gavin Petty, Megan Petty, Garrett Petty, Savannah Petty, and Jax Hentchel; one sister, Robbie Sexton, Wewahitchka, FL, and many special nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Johnny Gilmore, Brady Gilmore, Rodney Bowers, Robert Ward, Donnie Harrison, and Gavin Petty.
