Idell Bedsole of Samson passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, in a Dothan hospital surrounded by her loving family.  She was 82.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2019, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Pastor Alan Dieas, officiating.  Mr. Bruce Berry will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Church of Christ Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  The family will receive friends before the service on Friday, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Mrs. Bedsole was born in Coffee County on May 15, 1937, to the late Jesse Pickron and Ila B. Jackson Pickron.  She was a longtime member of the Oak Ridge Church of Christ.  Mrs. Bedsole enjoyed going to the senior citizens' dances. She enjoyed going out to eat and loved having fun with her friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Bedsole; a grandson, Matt Manning; and all eight of her siblings.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Lamm (Kent) of Mobile, and Dianne Pieper (Jim) of Spring, TX; son, Lance Bedsole of Samson; two grandchildren, Jennifer Byrd (James) of Las Vegas, NV, and David Manning, of Newton, AL; and three great-grandchildren, Brandon Byrd, Cody Manning, and Ansley Marie Manning.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
