ABBEVILLE, ALABAMA. . .Ingrid Johannsen Finney Beam Paul, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, died Tuesday morning, October 3, 2023, in the Ft. Gaines Health Care & Rehab in Ft. Gaines, Georgia. She was 80.

            Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. (EDT), Tuesday, October 10, 2023, in the Ft. Gaines Presbyterian Church with Pastor Wade G. Spooner officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. (EDT) Tuesday in the church sanctuary. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ft. Gaines Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 157, Ft. Gaines, Georgia 39851.

            Mrs. Paul was born in Teaneck, New Jersey and moved with her family to Vero Beach, Florida as a child. She received a B.S. Degree in Nursing from Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Mrs. Paul was formerly employed as a Registered Nurse and Nursing Supervisor at Southeast Health and Flowers Hospital, both in Dothan, and also Hartselle Medical Center in Hartselle, Alabama. In later years, she worked for Ross Perot as a specialist in coding and medical billing. Mrs. Paul was a member of Ft. Gaines Presbyterian Church. She lived in Valdosta, Georgia and Dothan, Alabama before moving to Holiday Shores on Lake Eufaula in Henry County, Alabama in 1990. Mrs. Paul was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick Johannsen and Elizabeth Zinke Johannsen, and her husbands, Ted Beam and Frank Robert Paul.

            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Melinda Finney, Abbeville; and Shannon Standifer (Kevin), San Antonio, TX; a son, David Finney, Abbeville; a sister, Alice Gunther, Vero Beach, FL; four grandchildren, Jessy Standifer, Josh Standifer, Gracie Finney and Alyssa Finney, a great-grandson, Amadeus Standifer.
