Mrs. Ira McDonald Norsworthy of Geneva, Alabama passed away December 30, 2022.  She was 78.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 04, 2023 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Black Community Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon and last until service time. Flowers will be accepted.

Ira was born September 17, 1944 in Black, AL to the late Ira Barner and Annie Spann McDonald. She was employed with Livingston Fashions in Livingston, AL for a number of years. Later she was an employee of Pilgrim Pride in Enterprise, AL. Ira was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide Fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Tracy Lene’ and Tammy Rene’ Norsworthy, three sisters, Nell J. Bridges, Yvonne Dunn and Joann McKaig, two brothers, Wilburn and Jack McDonald.

Ira is survived by a special niece, Sandra Lill (John), several nieces and nephews, Tommy Allen, who was like a son, special friend, Gina Buehler, special neighbor and friend, Brittany Cotton (David).
