NEWVILLE…Jacqueline Bostick "Jackie" Riley, a resident of Newville, died Saturday night, October 22, 2022, at her home. She was 71. 


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 25, 2022, in the Concord Baptist Church with Chaplain Kevin Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in the church sanctuary. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.


Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 2740 Headland Avenue, Dothan, AL 36303.


Mrs. Riley was born and reared in the Tumbleton Community of Henry County, daughter of the late Yarbrough Bostick and Cora V Holland Bostick. She moved to the Concord community, near Newville, in 1969.  Mrs. Riley was a member of the Concord Baptist Church. She was formerly employed by the Henry County Board of Education at the Headland Middle School as a teacher’s aide.


Surviving relatives include her husband, Ronnie Riley, a son, Lance Riley (Peggy), Malvern, AL; a brother, Derrell Bostick (Virginia); a sister-in-law, Peggy Riley Kennedy, Riverview, FL; several nieces and nephews.


Serving as active pallbearers will be Robert Miller, Glenn Deal, Robert Kennedy, Jamie Bostick, Dwayne Payne and Greg Milhon.


The family would like to express their appreciation to Kindred Hospice, especially, Angie Jones, for the loving care and kindness shown to Mrs. Riley during her illness.
