James A. “Jim” Phillips of Westville, FL passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023. He was 86.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2023 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Wayne Brannon and Rev. Charles Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

 Mr. Phillips was born in Freeport, FL on December 29, 1936 to the late Charlie Walter and Edna Mae Cosson Phillips. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. Jim was a kind, sharing and giving neighbor and will be missed by many who knew, loved and respected him.

 In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Evelyn Barton Phillips; three brothers, Harvey, Rollie and Jr. Phillips.

 He is survived by one son, James Ray Phillips (Terri); one daughter, Deborah DeRouen (Donnie); four grandchildren; Brandi Carroll (Simmon), Brittney LaVoie (Robbie), Jason DeRouen (Sara) and Josh DeRouen; eight great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Judd and Sophia DeRouen, Carson and Bayleigh Owens, Tyler, Peyton, and Addison Carroll; one brother, Earl Phillips (Tamar) and several special nieces and nephews.
