James Allen Rich

 

James Rich, age 85 formerly of Kinsey passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Stone Brook Assisted Living & Memory Care in Denison, Texas.  A graveside funeral will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2023, 1 pm at Gardens of Memory on HWY 431 in Kinsey.  Family will be receiving visitors at 11:00 at the home of Dan & Nell Rich in Kinsey prior to the graveside service.  

James was born April 28, 1938 in Houston County, Alabama to J.W. and Katie Creel Rich.  He obtained his Theological Degree and pastored churches in North Ohio and Alabama.  He had lived the last four and a half years in Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents J.W. and Katie Rich; wife Lula Jean Tyler Rich; son James Anthony Rich; sister Glenda Rich.

Survivors include sons Mike Rich (Janet) of Texas and their children and grandchildren, Timothy Rich of Ohio and his children and grandchildren; granddaughter Lorna Rich of Alabama; brothers Daniel Rich (Nell) of Kinsey, Curtis Rich (Elaine) of Troy; sister Faye Redmond (Gene) of Florida.
