OZARK…..Mr. James “Bo” Ausbon, a resident of Ozark, died late Saturday evening, October 24, 2020 at his home. He was 63.


            Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 31, 2020 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Harold Peters officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.


            Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Liver Cancer Research Fund, 3600 Forbes Ave. at Meyran Ave., Forbes Tower, Suite 8084, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.


            Mr. Ausbon, son of the late Herman Eugene Ausbon and Doris Nadovahl Perkins Ausbon, was a native of Brundidge. He was a 1975 Graduate of Ariton High School and attended Enterprise State Junior College on a baseball scholarship. Mr. Ausbon lived in Ozark most of his lifetime and was currently employed with the City of Ozark as the Assistant Director of Public Works. He was formerly employed with Show Gun & Pawn in Ozark and also J.B. Head Construction Company. Mr. Ausbon was preceded in death by a nephew, Louis Eugene Whitehead.


            Surviving relatives include his wife of forty years, Kay Hulon Ausbon, Ozark; two daughters, Amy Nichole Ausbon Ivey, Ozark and Lyndsey Ausbon Bell (John), Ewell; his sister, Charlene Ausbon Simmons (David), Ozark; eight grandchildren, Madison Taylor Pitts, Brantley Hayden Ivey, Allie Nichole Ivey, Kelsey Grace Ivey, Jason Bell, Kaden Bell, Alyssa Helms, and Layla Mae Bell; several nieces and nephews including, Rickey Whitehead (Misty) and Michelle Lee McGhee; cousins including, Steve Perkins (Sandy).


            The family would like to thank the City of Ozark E.M.S. for their care and support and to the Department of Public Works for their support during this time.


            All of Bo’s friends knew that he loved Auburn Football, so the family is requesting that those attending the funeral wear Auburn colors.
