PINCKARD. . .James Clyde York, a resident of Pinckard, died Monday morning June 22, 2020, in a Dothan hospital. He was 76.

     Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 24, 2020, in the Morgan Baptist Church in Skipperville, with Reverend Tim Sewell and Reverend Bill Weed officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the church sanctuary.

     Mr. York was born in Webb, Alabama and was raised in Pinckard where he lived most of his lifetime. He was a member of the Morgan Baptist Church. Mr. York was retired, due to disability, as an Aircraft Mechanic at Ft. Rucker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Lee York and Leona Spurlock York.

     Surviving relatives include a daughter, Katie Cunningham (Dwight), two sons, Craig York (Leticia Chong), all of Midland City; Samuel York (Abbi), Moundville, AL; a sister, Sarah Brogden, Ewell, AL; three brothers, Royce York (Michele), Pinckard; Alton York (Christine), Headland; and Kenneth York (Shirley), New Brockton, AL; two grandchildren, Blake York (Kendall) and Mallory York; two great-grandchildren, Dawson and Braden York; several nieces and nephews.
