James Coleman Weeks of Westville, FL passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. He was 86 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Leonia Baptist Church cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Mr. Weeks was born on April 12, 1936 to the late Malgram and Cora Lee McDuffie Weeks. He was an accomplished farmer, who enjoyed working with his tractor, farming and clearing land with his bulldozer. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Louise Weeks, one son, James Coleman Weeks, Jr., and one grandchild, Chance Cole Weeks; three brothers, Holland, Lonnie and Winston Weeks and one sister, Geraldine Carroll.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ruth Y. Weeks of Westville, FL; two daughters, Janet Marie Weeks Hewett (William) of Ponce de Leon, FL, Sharon Lou (Weeks) Weeks (Jimmy) of Coffee Springs, AL, one stepson, Michael Yeagley of Westville, FL; seven grandchildren, Thomas Corbett (Kim), Ashley Hickman (Bradley), Christopher Weeks, Dustin Weeks, Jessie Weeks, Jimmy Lee Weeks, Jr., and Shelley Weeks Norris and eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Blendage Joe Weeks (Betty Sue) and a number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Chris Weeks, Dusty Weeks, Thomas Corbett, Jimmy Lee Weeks, Jr., Dylan Weeks and Jessie Weeks.
