JAMES  DALE  SALYERS


 


ABBEVILLE. . .James Dale Salyers, a resident of Riverview Forest Estates, Abbeville, died early Tuesday morning, May 22, 2012, at his home. He was 46.



            Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, May 24, 2012, in the Shorterville Baptist Church with Reverend Ray S. Reiley officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 P.M. Thursday in the church sanctuary.



            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Shorterville Baptist Church, c/o Rossie Money, 2457 County Road 91, Abbeville, AL. 36310.


 


            Dale Salyers was born in Alton, Illinois and was reared in Hazard, Kentucky. He moved to Riverview Forest Estates on Lake Eufaula in 1990. Dale was a member of the Shorterville  Baptist Church. He was formerly employed as a welder and carpenter in commercial and residential construction. Dale was preceded in death by his father, Ollie James Salyers.



            Surviving relatives include his wife, Sandra Nowlin Salyers; a daughter, Christina Salyers, both of Abbeville; his mother, Sharon Doswell Salyers, Shorterville; a  grandson, Trent Yeater, to be born in August; two brothers, Les Salyers and wife, Jane, Abbeville; and Patrick Salyers, Shorterville.
