James David Bennett of Hartford, Alabama passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Noland Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. He was 78 years old.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Hartford, Alabama with Bro. Ricky Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens in Ozark, Alabama under the direction of Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Lola Belle Bennett; siblings, Julius Bennett, Ethel (Jack) Byrd, Ada (Charlie) Conrad, and Rosie (Pryor) Berry; and his late wife, Betty Bennett.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Bennett of Hartford; children, Darryl (Karen) Bennett and Christopher Bennett both of Eufaula; stepchildren, Janet Hovey and Andy Hovey both of Hartford; grandchildren, Jackson Bennett, Robin (Nick) Long, Jared Bennett, Hovey (Emily) Watford, Austin Hovey and Andrew Hovey, Maegan Hickerson; great grandchild, Jaylon Hickerson; and sister-in-law, Pat Bennett.
