James David Hinson, of Dothan, died Monday, January 25, 2021. He was 53.

Graveside services will be held 2 pm, Friday, January 29, 2021 at Memory Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Donna Cumbie and Mr. Kevin Hinson officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. 

All masking and social distancing guidelines will be observed. Flowers will be accepted. Family will be visiting following services at the graveside.

David was born August 26,1967 in Dothan to Bobby and Beverlye Armentrout Hinson and lived most of his life in the Dothan and Rehobeth areas. He attended Rehobeth High School. He later was employed as a police officer for several years. He also worked with his family at Hinson’s Wholesale Florist. He was an Auburn Fan and enjoyed sports and playing video games. David was of the Methodist faith.

He is predeceased by his father, Bobby Hinson, all of his grandparents and a stepson, Bradley Metcalf.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years Suzanne Cox Hinson of Dothan; his daughters, Helen Hinson of Dothan and Hanna Roney (Bryant) of Webb; his grandchildren, Brayden Brown, Braxton Roney, Adalynn Rae Roney and Braylee Metcalf; his mother, Beverlye A. Hinson of Dothan; a brother, Jon Kevin Hinson (Deborah) of Glen Carbon, Illinois; two special nephews, Justin (Hannah) Hinson and Hunter Hinson.

Pallbearers will be: Kevin Hinson, Hunter Hinson, Josh Shephard, Bryant Roney, Casey Brown.
