Mr. James Douglas Strickland passed away at his home Monday, March 9, 2020. He was 91 years old. He was born June 22, 1928 to the late Z. Y. and Cavie Ray Owens Strickland.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Mike Shirah officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Home Church cemetery with Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home dire...cting.

James was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Gene, Jerry, and Kulon Strickland; and one sister, Mary May.

He is survived by his wife of over 40 years Linda Gail Wood Strickland; four daughters, Deborah Gilbert of Black, Dianna (Kevin) Green of Geneva, Cindy (Danny) Staley of Geneva, and Ginny Wood of Black; two sons, Bobby (Laurie) Hughes of Dothan, and Russell (Dena) Hughes of Ashford; over 40 grand and great grandchildren; two brothers, Billy (Sue) Strickland of Lake City, Florida, Terrell (Linda) Strickland of West Palm Beach, Florida, and one sister; Pat (Ted) Shiver of Boca Raton, Florida; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank family, friends and Southern Care Hospice of Enterprise for their care and concern during this difficult time.
