James E. “Bobby” Hall of Geneva, AL passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Bro. Cliff Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Hall was born on October 22, 1936, to the late Henry Hall and Alma Barrentine Hall. Mr. Hall was a member of the Army National Guard for 25 years. He enjoyed gardening, tinkering on lawn mowers, reminiscing, and never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Mary Phyllis (Brown) Hall; one son, Ricky Edward Hall; one grandson, Bobby Wade Barnes; three brothers, Earl Hall, Randall Hall, and Frank Hall; one sister, Louise (Hall) McCollough.

He is survived by one daughter, Jackie Barnes (Bobby) of Geneva; two granddaughters, Chesley Wilks of Geneva, Lindsey Sessions (Chad) of Geneva; five great-grandchildren, Dillon and Ethan Wilks, Emma, Everett, and Elliot Sessions; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lindsey Richardson, Beth Nix, and Janeari Melton with SoutherCare Hospice.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dillon Wilks, Ethan Wilks, David Hall, Kendall Vaughn, Randy Barnes, and Gary Pollard.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Chad Sessions, Everett Sessions, and Elliot Sessions.
