James Earl Robinson, 67, of Ashford passed away Friday, July 27, 2012.

Funeral services will be 10 am Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Bascom, FL with Robert Byrd directing.

Mr. Robinson was born November 15, 1944 in Bascom, Florida and lived there the early part of his life. He was an independent contractor with Robinson Roofing and Remodeling for several years until his retirement. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and the Alabama Homebuilders Association. He was preceded in death by his sister Robbie Olive.

Survivors include his wife Glenda Robinson; a son James Earl Robinson of Destin; a daughter Lisa Robinson Blackwell of Birmingham; a grand-daughter Maggie Claire Blackwell; a brother Johnny (Betty) Robinson of Dothan; nephews, Mike (Vicki) Olive, Bronson (Rita) Robinson, and Jason (Kathy) Robinson.
