 James Glaster Compton 93 of Andalusia, AL departed this life Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Opp Health and Rehabilitation in Opp, Alabama. Funeral services will be held from Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Elbert Smith officiating. Committal services will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

     Survivors include: Wife - Bertha Lee Compton, Andalusia, AL, Son - Monty Compton, SC, Son - Kenny Compton, TX, Son - Stan Compton, OK, 9 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. 

     Mr. Compton was preceded in death by his first wife Mozell Compton, parents, Walter and Lessie Marles Compton, Daughter, Melba Compton, Sister, Shelley C. Clark, Brother, Ed Compton.

      Hayes Funeral Home of Elba, Alabama is serving the Compton family.
