Obituary:  James Harvey Vitito


 


James Harvey Vitito, of Clayhatchee, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020, from an extended illness  at his residence surrounded by his family.  He was 74.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 28, 2020 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise with Reverend Shawn Crosby officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 9:15 am and continuing until service time.

Mr. Vitito was born July 10, 1946, in Indiana to the late James William and Iva Hobson Jackson Vitito. He was a hard worker, and he was very good at mechanical work as well as working with his hands.  He loved his Lord and Savior, his grandkids, his entire family, and had a deep love for animals.  In addition to his parents, one brother, Billy Jackson, one sister, Sharon Elmore preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Linda Vitito, Clayhatchee; two daughters, Rajeana Vitito, Abbeville, Debora England (Ricky), Clayhatchee;  nieces and nephews, Ricky Jackson, Eddie Elmore, Brandy Elmore, Linda Jackson, all of Indiana; two grandchildren, Hannah England, Reace England.
