James Mayben, age 90, of Daleville, AL, passed away, Sunday, February 14, 2016 at his residence in Daleville, AL.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Daleville Chapel with a military chaplain officiating.  Burial will follow with full military honors in Daleville Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Haven of Grace Fellowship, 19 Price Street, Daleville, AL 36322 or to Gentiva Hospice, P.O. Box 1708, Enterprise, AL 36331. 

Mr. Mayben retired from the United States Army with over 20 years of service to his country.  He served in WWII, Korea and the Vietnam War along with numerous other services and assignments throughout the world.   

Survivors include his children, Katherine Duclos (Roger), Daleville, AL; Jimmy Mayben (Amy), Huntsville, AL; Jack Mayben (Marsha), Glencoe, AL; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sisters; Connie Lynch, SC; Caroline Pinson, SC; several nieces and nephews.
