Mr. James Hilton Whitehead, age 88 of Dothan passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 21, 2021at 3 pm in the chapel of Family First Funeral Care. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:30 p.m. until service time. Flowers are being accepted or donations of books to Girard Intermediate Library (600 Girard Avenue, Dothan, AL).

Mr. Whitehead was born November 18, 1932 to Alta and Jessie Baston Whitehead. Despite being legally blind, James never let that hold him back. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

James is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Wayne Whitehead and Ed Whitehead.

Survivors include his wife, Rachael Cross Whitehead; two daughters Michelle Holden (Glen), Dr. LaVonda Senn (Rick); grandchildren Whitney Hughes (Trent), Gavin Senn, Eric Regan (Sabrina) Alex Holden, Andrew Holden, Sarah Jane Holden; great grandchildren Felicity Reagan, Walker Hughes, Daniel Reagan; sisters in law Margaret Whitehead, Mildred Whitehead.
