Mr. Jim Ziglar 79, of New Brockton, AL died on Friday, July 08, 2022, after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Monday, July 11, 2022, at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Kerry Mitchell and Donnie Marler officiating.  The burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing.  Visitation for Jim will be from 10 AM until service time at Searcy Funeral Home.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1837 AL 51, Enterprise, AL 36330.

Jim was an uncommonly kind, hardworking, and decent man.  He believed his word and a handshake were as binding as a contract and he taught his children to live that way, as well.  He was known for his common sense and good judgment.  He loved nature and animals.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was greatly loved and will be missed. 

Survivors include his wife, Joan Ziglar, Enterprise, AL; children, Kelly Adkison (Steve), New Brockton, AL, Jennifer Akridge, Montgomery, AL, Melissa Swift, Fayetteville, NC, Kim Martin (Jody), Pike Road, AL, Mark Muller, Tampa, FL; sister, Mary Corbitt (Don), Jack, AL; brother, Bill Ziglar (Katherine), Baker, FL; grandchildren, Garrett Roberts, Josh Roberts, Dalton Adkison, Maegan Swearingen (Zac); and a special granddog, Lucky Martin.
