James Marcus Ramer, age 86, of Kinston, AL, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 at his home.  He is the son of the late Bro. W.C. and Odie Ramer. 


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Faithview Holiness Church with Rev. Arthur Hornsby officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 P.M. until service time. 


Bro. Marcus has ministered over 64 years around the world in 8 different countries.  Over 10,000 people have given their lives to Jesus in his services.  He pastored Faithview Holiness Church in Enterprise, AL for the past 36 years.


He also worked for the Department of the Army Civil Service for 38 years at Fort Rucker, AL.


He found happiness and fulfillment by telling people about how good God is.  He loved to visit people at homes, hospitals and nursing homes.  He preached thousands of funerals and joined many couples in holy matrimony.  He loved his country.  He loved the flag and the soldiers that fought for our freedoms.


Marcus is survived by his loving wife, Donna.  He is also survived by his son Phil Ramer (Renee) of Panama City, FL; daughter Talitha Barros (Roger) of Panama City, FL; grandchildren Easton Ramer (Stephanie), Blake Ramer (Bre) of Panama City, FL, Lizzie Redmon (Randy) of Anaheim, CA; great-grandchildren Brantley, Jaycee, Briggs, Raelyn, Reggie, Rogan, and Hunter; his children and grandchildren by marriage to Donna are Jennifer, Brad, Madie Rose, Braylor, and Brantley; a brother, Joel Ramer (Shirley) of Sunny Hills, FL.


Serving as pallbears will be Jacob Green, Jeffrey Green, Rob Lindbom, Jimmy Sexton and Brad Watson.
