COLUMBIA. . .James Randall Duke, a resident of Columbia, died late Friday morning, February 19, 2021, in a Dothan hospital. He was 76.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P. M. Monday, February 22, 2021, in the Columbia City Cemetery with Pastor Stuart Smith officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Social distancing guidelines and masks will be observed. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Duke was born in Early County, Georgia and reared in Hilton, Georgia, son of the late Spann Duke and Viola Hilton Duke. He lived in Columbia all his adult lifetime. Mr. Duke was retired as a Supervisor with the Georgia-Pacific Corporation in Cedar Springs, GA.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Shirley Smith Duke; a daughter, Sheila Wakefield (Thomas), all of Columbia; a son, Lee Duke (Kelley), Covington, GA; two sisters, Patsy Roberts (Kingsley), Salem, AL; and Mary Ann Duke, Columbia; a brother, Tony Duke, Hilton, GA; three grandchildren, Mallory Geier (Jamison), Kolby Duke and Elisabeth Wilson (Blake); several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Kingsley Roberts, Rodolfo Proano, Ronnie Ratchford, Jasper Knighton, Kenneth McDaniel and Robert Ferguson.
