James Waylon Brewer, age 74 of Coffee Springs, AL, passed away, Monday, February 2, 2015 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Howard Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in Asbury Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Memorials may be made to Children’s Hospital, 1600 7^th Ave. South, Birmingham, AL 35233.

Waylon was preceded in death by his parents, James David and Susie Jane Brewer, sisters, Mabel Brewer and Rebecca Buxton, brothers, Hollis Brewer and Travis Brewer.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Ann Brewer, Coffee Springs, AL; daughters, Alicia (Lisa) Connell (Eric) Chancellor, AL; Teresa Brewer, Gulf Shores, AL; Misty Brewer (Glen) Daleville, AL; Susan Brewer, Coffee Springs, AL; four grandchildren, Kristy Mills; Reed Brewer; Madison Harlin; C. J. Harlin; two great-grandchildren, Gabriel Mills; Kelsey Mills; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Sarah Brewer.
