Jamie Dianne Evans, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2023, in Dothan, AL. Born on November 4, 1952, in Anderson, South Carolina, Jamie was known for her selflessness, creativity, and dedication to her family and career.


Jamie was a proud graduate of both Troy and Auburn University, where she studied nursing. Her passion for helping others led her to a fulfilling career as a nurse at Flowers Hospital and later at the Women's Center. Jamie's colleagues and patients alike admired her for her unwavering commitment to providing the best possible care and her ability to bring comfort and solace to those in need.


In her personal life, Jamie was a wife to her husband of 47 years, Ken Evans. She is survived by her children, their son, Ian Evans, and stepdaughter, Elizabeth Diane Kelly (John).


As a grandmother to Cassie, Carly, and Catie, Jamie's love only grew stronger. She cherished every moment spent with her granddaughters, always making sure to create lasting memories and instill in them the values of kindness, compassion, and perseverance.


Jamie's creativity shone through in her interests, which included cross-stitching and sewing. Her intricate and beautiful creations were a testament to her patience and attention to detail, and they will serve as cherished keepsakes for her family and friends.


Throughout her life, Jamie was known for her selflessness and willingness to help others. She was the kind of person who would go out of her way to lend a hand or offer a shoulder to lean on, and her impact on the lives of those around her will not be forgotten.


Jamie's memory will be lovingly carried on by her husband, Ken; son, Ian; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Diane Kelly (John); granddaughters, Cassie, Carly, and Catie; and countless friends and colleagues who were fortunate enough to know her.


In celebrating Jamie's life, we remember a woman who was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her family and career will live on in the hearts and minds of those she touched.
