JANE ROBERSON ELLIOTT

HALEBURG, AL… Jane Roberson Elliott, a resident of Haleburg, Alabama, passed away late Sunday night, November 5, 2023, at her home. She was 83.

            Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Haleburg Baptist Church with Reverend Ray Cobb and Reverend Matthew Quincey officiating. Burial will follow in the Haleburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. prior to the services. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

            In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Haleburg Cemetery Fund, c/o Tippy Smith, 10466 County Road 47, Shorterville, Alabama 36373.

            Jane was born on November 14, 1939, in Headland, Alabama to the late James Franklin Roberson and Manda Paramore Roberson. She was a graduate of Headland High School. She married Christie Joe Elliott on May 25, 1957. She was the mother of two children, Teresa Jan Elliott Hinson and Timothy Joe Elliott. Jane was a homemaker and also worked at Ezzell’s Clothing Store in Abbeville, Alabama in earlier years. She was a member of the Haleburg Baptist Church, where she was very active.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Christie Joe Elliott and a sister, Jimmie Catherine (Dinah) Money.

Leaving to cherish her memories is her daughter, Teresa Jan Elliott Hinson (Terell); her son, Timothy Joe Elliott (Robyn); Her grandchildren, Kelsey Amanda Elliott and John Jason “Jase” Elliott; her step-grandchildren, Leah Hinson Bond (Chris) and Judson “Judd” Hinson; her brother, Randy Roberson (Brenda); her brother-in-law, Roger Money (Jane); and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Ronnie Yance, Harnage Elliott, Herman Gordon, Richard Worsham, Chris Money, Ritchie Roberson, James Roberson, Keith Taylor, Jim Yance, and Murray Yance.

            The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and her two special caregivers, Burnestine Oliver and Cathy Dyson.
