Janet Marie Zwak Donaldson of Elba, AL (Ino community) passed away on Tuesday, May 04, 2021. She was 76.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2021 at Goodman Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Janet was born in Grand Rapids, MI on September 19, 1944 to the late Jacob and Marie Buchland Zwak. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. After raising her children and retiring from the State of Florida, she moved to Alabama. She, along with her husband Jerry, enjoyed living in the country and raising cattle, goats and many other farm animals, riding horses, pecan farming and spending time doing anything outdoors. She believed in hard work and lived life to the fullest. She was a wonderful quilt maker and seamstress. Many family members and friends have been blessed with a new quilt on special occasions or just simply as an expression of her love to you.  A huge heart and a giving spirit accurately described her without any doubt. She treasured her quilting friends from Enterprise Quilters Guild. Janet was a devout Christian and active, faithful member of Goodman Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was followed in death by her husband of 33 years, Jerome “Jerry” Donaldson on June 06, 2021; two brothers, Kenneth and Norman Zwak.

She is survived by her daughters, Laurie Ramsey and Rebecca Zvirblis; step-son, Kelly Donaldson, granddaughter, Haley Zvirblis; four brothers, Jerald, Clayton, Lloyd and Dale Zwak and many special nieces and nephews.
