JASPER (Nate) NATHANIEL THOMAS

 

Mr. Jasper (Nate) Thomas, age 55 formerly of Dothan passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022 at A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility of Uniondale, New York.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2022, 11 a.m. at  Life Kingdom Center Mall (Old Porter Square Mall) "New Beginning Ministeries Int, INC. with Bishop R.P. Mitchell and Prophetess Dorothy Mitchell officiating.  Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 18, 2022 5-7 p.m. in the chapel at Family First Funeral Care.  

 

Mr. Nate was born May 21, 1967 in Hempsted(Ocean Side), New York to Jasper Eugene Thomas and Iris Mae Lee Thomas.   He grew up in New York and later moved to Dothan where he raised his family.  Nate enjoyed playing basketball, going to the gym, cooking, collecting comic books and baseball cards.  He had a love for Martial Arts and collected Ninja swords.  He was gifted at writing poetry.  He was very social and enjoyed talking to others.  He was a member of New Beginning Ministries International Incorporated.   

 

Nate is preceded in death by his father Jasper Eugene Thomas.

 

Survivors include his Mother Iris Mae Thomas; former wife Tanya Michelle Thomas; his children Ramel Thomas, Janay Thomas-Thornton (Willie Thornton, Jr.); Janell Wilson; Jarell Thomas (Shanise Thomas), Elijah Thomas, Gabriel Anglin; eleven grandchildren; his siblings Eugene, James, Donell, Timothy, Lorenzo, Aaron, Jason, John, Matthew, Gwen, Katrina, Loretta, Lorraine, Lajetta, Linda, Doris, Marcia.
