DOTHAN. . .Jean Langford Craddock Beasley, a resident of Dothan, passed away early Sunday morning, February 19, 2023, in a Dothan hospital. She was 87.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 22, 2023, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Bob Sanders and Reverend Tim Willis officiating. Private graveside services for the family will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the mortuary in Headland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 1007 South Bell Street, Dothan, AL 36301. Mrs. Beasley was born and reared in Headland, daughter of the late Earnest and Lilie Davis Langford. She was a graduate of Headland High School. Mrs. Beasley lived in Birmingham from 1960 until 1976 when she returned to Dothan. She was a member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church and attended the First Baptist Church of Columbia. Mrs. Beasley was preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Craddock, a sister and brother-in-law, Carol Langford Bastien and Bill Bastien.

Surviving relatives include her husband, John Palmer Beasley, a daughter, Debbie Moore (Garry), Dothan; a son, R. Frank Craddock (Linda), Vestavia Hills; Papa John’s children, Claudia Gamble (Brian), Headland; John P. Beasley, Jr. (Kathy), Auburn; and Sid Beasley (Jane Ellen), Canton, GA; grandchildren, Scott Moore (Jessica), Amy Ellison (Chase), Grant Moore (Erika), Caroline Raville (Courtney), Cliff Beasley, Ross Beasley, Katie Beasley, Audrey Gamble, Emily G. Bass (McKinley); great-grandchildren, Logan, Jackson and Addison Moore, Ted and Sophia Moore, Stella and Rhett Raville, and John Asher Bass; a sister-in-law, Shirley Craddock Hall, Dothan; a nephew, Gary Hall (Lynn), numerous cousins and a host of friends.

Serving as active pallbearers Garry Moore, Scott Moore, Grant Moore, Sid Beasley, Brian Gamble and Courtney Raville.
