Jeanette “Mamanet” Johns, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 in Rogersville, AL. She was 80.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2017 at the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery (Arguta) with Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. on Monday prior to service time.
Mrs. Johns was born October 20, 1936 in Clio, Alabama and lived most all of her life in Dale County. She was a special lady, always giving and loving, who captured everyone’s heart. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is predeceased by her husband, John Jr. Johns; parents, Clead W. and Maudrie Bellflower Roberts; brothers and sisters, James K. Roberts, Durwood Roberts, Mary Craft and Charlie Roberts.
She is survived by the children that loved and called her “Mamanet, Kimberly Perigin (Randall), Billy Gene Johns, Curtis Gene Johns, Brandon Gilley (Jackie), Daniel Gilley (Meghan), Christopher Clayville (Jamie), Lin Paris Gilley, Taylor Briann Gilley, Landon McKyle Gilley and Danika Renae Gilley; two sisters, Annis Harrison (Bobby) of Dothan and Janice Buxton (Robert) of Enterprise.
