Jeffrey Thomas Hughey

Jeffrey Thomas Hughey went to be with Jesus on July 3, 2022 in Dothan, Alabama.

A celebration of life will be held at Sunset Memorial Park on July 9, 2022 at 5:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 4-5 pm prior to the celebration.

Jeff began his life with great parents, Virgil and Arlene Hughey, and four awesome brothers. Throughout his 66 years of life, Jeff has been a loving son to his parents, a good brother, a wonderful husband of 28 years, and a loving father. Jeff took care of his family doing what he loved as a gym manager for 30 plus years. He raised two wonderful boys into men that he was so proud of. During his last six years of life he got to experience the joy of retirement, however, he was still working hard, kicking cancer’s butt, fishing with friends, playing with his dogs, and vacationing with family.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Carol Hughey; his sons, Houston Hughey and Christian (Tara Beth) Hughey; his sister, Bonnie Young; his brothers, David (Donna) Hughey, Jon (Melissa) Hughey, Chris (Nancy) Hughey, and Craig (Susan) Hughey; and several nieces and nephews.
