Jennie Distasio of Daleville, AL, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012, at her home in Daleville.  She was 49.

            Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Endrihs officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3:00PM until service time.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Linda Andress, PO Box 310900, Enterprise, AL  36331.

            Mrs. Distasio was preceded in death by her parents, Naomi and Leroy Wallace.

            Survivors include her husband, 1SG(RET) Joseph J. Distasio, Daleville, AL; 5 daughters, SSG Tamilynn Palmer (SSG Adam), Little Rock, AR, Sandra L. Distasio, New York, NY, Sabra L. Distasio, Daleville, AL, PO2 Amanda L. Distasio, Westport, WA, Megan J. Distasio, Cincinnati, OH; son, MSG Joseph Distasio (Chasity), Glenwood, IA; 2 sisters, Sabra Fisher (Larry), Winfield, KS, Joyce Cancel, Daleville, AL; 2 Brothers, Marty Wallace (Kathy), Arkansas, KS, Jeff Wallace (Margaret), Winfield, KS; grandson, Christopher N. Peralta; grand-daughter, Adalyn P. Palmer.
