Jeannie Lee Hutchins Billingsley, age 92, passed away on July 15, 2019 in Orem, Utah. Jennie was born in Sanford, Florida on March 27, 1927 to the late Benjamin Franklin Hutchins and Ruth Irene Walker.


 


Memorial services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church at 2 PM, Saturday, July 27, 2019. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until service time.


 


Jennie was a teacher at Dothan High School, a teacher and counselor at Houston Academy, Dothan, Al. She retired after 26 years from Calvary Baptist Church serving as Music Secretary and Outreach Secretary. She was a member of Calvary Baptist church and will be remembered as a tireless worker for Christ.


 


After retirement, Jennie moved to Utah to assist in caring for her sister and brother in law, Georgia and Stan Houston.


 


For all who knew and loved Jennie the quality that was paramount in her life and her relationship with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and her love for her family. She will be missed and remembered with love by all those who were touched by her life.


 


In additions to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years: Harold Raiford Billingsley, sisters: Georgia Houston, Naomi Hutchins, and Winifred Cullum.


 


Survivors include her sons: David Harold Billingsley of Newton, AL., and William Walker Billingsley of  Wilton Manors, FL., granddaughter: Kelsey Michele Smith and great-granddaughter: Nevaeh Hope Smith of Wicksburg, AL.


 


In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Outreach Department of Calvary Baptist Church.
