Jerleen Corbitt King

Jerleen Corbitt King, a resident of Dothan, AL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 3, 2021. She was 66.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:00 am in Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Erick Minniefield officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-6 pm on Friday, June 11, 2021.

Jerleen was born on December 2, 1954 in Henry County to the late Mr. Moses and Mrs. Annie Pearl Corbitt. She lived in Henry County the early years of her life before moving to Dothan. Jerleen graduated from Headland High School. Jerleen had a passion for bold fashion with a love for interior design. Jerleen was a devoted entrepreneur for many years working and selling home interior. She was able to create a beautiful ambience in many people’s homes during this period. Jerlene’s unique extravagant sense of style will truly be missed and one to remember forever. She was a devoted mother and Christian who loved to cook for her family and friends. Over the years Jerleen also dedicated time to being a foster parent to relatives’ children. She was always there to lend a helping hand in any way she could.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Annie Lee Ford and brother, Billy Corbitt.

Jerleen leaves to cherish and celebrate her memories, one son, Kendrick Corbitt of Dothan, AL; five grandchildren, Kendrick Corbitt, Jr., Kakrey Corbitt, Tatiana Miller, Kiana Miller and Kendrell Corbit; three great grandchildren; siblings, L.C. (Carolyn) Corbitt of Midland City, AL, Lillie Mae Corbitt of Dothan, AL, Eunice Kirkland of Jacksonville, FL, Bessie Mose (Rosie) Corbitt of Newville, AL, Earnestine Kirkland of Dothan, AL, Minnie Lee Knight of Dothan, AL, Irene Baxter of Midland City, AL, Deborah (Leonard) Ward of Dothan, AL, Arrie Dell Rogers of Dothan, AL, Carolyn Reynolds of Dothan, AL, Jackie (Dexter) Bryant of Newville, AL, Pearleen Corbitt of Kinsey, AL and Lazarus Corbitt of Newville, AL; a special niece, Jessica Reynolds; her previous husband, Edward King; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
