Mr. Jerry David Davis of Geneva passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at his home. He was 79.  

Celebration of Life services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, April 10, 2023, in the Chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 3:00 p.m.   

Mr. Davis was born September 26,1943 in Geneva County to the late Sonny and Thelma Virginia Hughes Pert. Jerry was a simple man who loved life, his family, and friends. 

Jerry served his country in the US Navy and retired after 22 years of service.  

The family request in that  in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Jerry’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Davis and Joyce Taylor; one niece, Crystal Zorn.

Survivors include his daughter, Kim Thomas (Steve) of La Mesa, Calf; grandchildren, Aleah Thomas and Austin Thomas both of La Mesa, Calf; two sisters, Shirley Delk of Geneva, AL and Janice Zorn of Freeport, FL; two brothers, Burley Elijah “John” Pert of Malvern, AL, and Leon Flynn Pert of Darlington, FL; two aunts, Doris Opal Strickland of Louisville, KY and Judy Hughes of Trenton, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
