Jessie Mae Simmons, of Enterprise, AL, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 at Opp Heath & Rehabilitation.  She was 99.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M., Friday, October 20, 2023 at Pleasant Ridge Primitive Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 A.M. until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Ridge Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 4408 County Road 223, Elba, AL 36323.

Jessie was preceded in death by her first husband Rufus William Knotts, second husband Edmond Simmons, two daughters Erma Nell Hardy and Katie Ann Knotts, a son Joseph E. Knotts, sister Maudie Rea Gouldin, two brothers William Thomas Daniel and H.K. Daniel.

Survivors include her son, Randy Knotts (Ann), Andalusia, AL; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
