NEWVILLE. . .Jill Whiddon Capan, of Birmingham, a former resident of Newville, died early Sunday morning, July 7, 2019, in Birmingham. She was 62.

     Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 9, 2019, in the Newville Cemetery with Reverend Norman C. Simmons officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

     Jill Capan was born and reared in Newville where she lived most of her lifetime before moving to Birmingham several years ago. She was a member of the Newville Baptist Church. Jill was preceded in death by her father, Marvette Louis Whiddon, her mother, Rose Colle Whiddon, and two brothers, Russell Joe Whiddon and Mike Whiddon.

     Surviving relatives include several nieces, nephews and cousins.
