Jim Lomax Ballard, age 77, died on Friday, October 19, 2018 in Dothan, AL. He was retired from Proctor and Gamble and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Jim (Max) Ballard was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Connor Ballard and his parents, John Bishop Ballard and Gertrude Helms Ballard.

Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Brender of Palmer, AK; son, Eddie Ballard of King George, VA; grandchildren, Sophie and Matthew Kearley of Palmer, AK, and Tori and Travis Ballard of Jacksonville, FL; many close cousins, and a special friend, Glenda Gunter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Spring Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Lowery and Jerry Davidson officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
