JIM McLAIN


DOTHAN.…Jim McLain, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at his home.  He was 68.


            Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Brother Bob Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan, Alabama. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel.


            Mr. McLain was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Bill McLain and Virginia Kirkland McLain Hodges. He lived in the Dothan, Alabama area his entire life. He was a 1971 Graduate of Dothan High School. He was retired from the City of Dothan as their fleet maintenance foreman. Hunting and fishing with his granddaughter (Kaylee) was his biggest passion. He also enjoyed riding his Harley and working in his flower beds.


            Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Martha Lee McLain; his daughter, Mandy Ludlam (Clint) of Headland, AL; his granddaughter, Kaylee Ludlam of Headland, AL; his sisters, Cynthia Snyder (Ken) of Columbia, AL, and Sylvia Cummings of Shorterville, AL; and several nieces and nephews.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Clint Ludlam, Chris Lee, Cody Lee, Ashton Booker, Lee Woodham, and Chase Woodham.
