COLUMBIA. . .Jimmy Brunson, a resident of Columbia, died early Friday morning, February 3, 2023, in the Ft. Gaines Health & Rehab in Ft. Gaines, Georgia. He was 87.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 6, 2023, in the Frith Hill Community Church Cemetery, Fowler Road, Dothan, with Reverend Billy Dickerson officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brunson was born and reared in Coffee County, son of the late Orbie Brunson and Hattie Baker Brunson. He served his country in the Army National Guard and the Army Reserve. He was retired from WestPoint Stevens in Abbeville. Mr. Brunson was a member of the Eddins Road Pentecostal Ministries and attended Frith Hill Assembly of God. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Hartzog Brunson and all his sisters and brothers.

Surviving relatives include numerous nieces and nephews.
