Jimmy Harvey Baxley, 61, a resident of Dothan, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 30,2021 at his residence. He was born on September 7, 1959, in Clearwater, Florida to the late Gaston Baxley and Evelyn (Pegg) Baxley.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be 5 PM, Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with military honors. The family will receive friends from 4 PM until service time at the funeral home. A private family inurnment will take place later at Memory Hill Cemetery.

 

Jimmy was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and a friend to all who knew him. Jimmy was an avid Alabama Football fan and loved watching Nascar anytime. He always welcomed his family and had a wonderful time when they got together.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Baxley and a sister, Debbie Baxley.

 

Survivors include his wife, Jan Baxley, children, Travis Baxley, Barry (Keashia) Barfield, and Cliff (Jamie) Howard, Denny (Becky) Ard, Chris (Crystal) Ard, Jennifer (Jerry) Wilson and Kim (Robin) Barnett, brother, Paul Faist, along with grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and many other family members and friends.

 

Flowers will be accepted. The family would like to thank his best friends Kayria Blair and Jim Earls for their care and support.
