Obituary: Jo Ann Sellers

 

Jo Ann Sellers of Montgomery passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at her home surrounded by family and friends following a sudden illness. She was 76.

 

A Graveside Service was held March 7, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Slocomb, AL with Rev. William Baxley officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church on West Cloverdale Park in Montgomery with Rev. Charlie Kendall officiating.

 

Miss Sellers was born November 10, 1943 to the late Joe Earl Sellers Jr. and Sybil Garner Sellers. Jo Ann received her Bachelor of Science degree, and a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from Troy University. She began her career as a Juvenile Probation Officer with Montgomery County for 10 years. Jo Ann then worked the next 20 years with the Federal United States Probation Office as a Probation Officer. She loved her family, friends, and all animals. Jo Ann will be dearly missed and she was dearly loved by all. We all know she is with her love ones and in our Heavenly Father’s Garden.
